| Experience: | I have tutored high school and middle school students since I was a sophomore in high school in all areas, including French, English, Math, and Science. I also have been involved with singing and music since the 2nd grade and have tutored kids in music theory. I am currently a tutor for the Ivy Insiders program, an SAT/ACT test preparation company, and received a 35 out of 36 on the ACT and received the Golden State Exam and California Scholarship Federation Awards while in high school. Last summer, I worked in a research laboratory at the Wistar Institute, studying gene expression as it related to lung cancer and lymphoma. I am currently a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and an active member of my sorority, Chi Omega.
I love tutoring because it is so rewarding when you are able to use your own strengths to help others. Seeing the impact I can have on younger kids who are experiencing the same difficult classes and exams that I went through is absolutely amazing. |
